Dear friend of Today's Youth Matter,

For more than thirty years, you've helped us walk alongside the children and families of Richmond and West Contra Costa County, and today we have joyful news to share with the people who've made that work possible. Today's Youth Matter welcomes David Jackson as our new Executive Director.

David comes to TYM with deep roots in the East Bay and a heart shaped by faith and service. He has spent his career building community through entrepreneurship, community building, and faith-rooted work, most recently as founder and CEO of Evolve Oakland, with earlier leadership at organizations including City Team Ministries. David also serves as team Chaplain for the Golden State Warriors. He shares our conviction that every child is made in the image of God and carries God-given potential worth believing in.

The Today's Youth Matter Board of Directors expressed strong confidence in Jackson's appointment and his ability to lead the organization into its next season of growth and impact. "David brings a unique combination of strategic leadership, relationship-building, and a deep commitment to serving young people," said Bob Rodde, Chairman of the Board of Directors. "What impressed us most is not only his professional accomplishments but also his passion for helping organizations fulfill their mission and his unwavering commitment to the youth and families they serve. He has a proven ability to mobilize resources, strengthen partnerships, and create opportunities that expand impact and transform communities. We are excited about the future of Today's Youth Matter under his leadership."

David joins TYM with extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, organizational development, fundraising, strategic planning, and community engagement. Throughout his career, he has helped mission-driven organizations strengthen their impact, build sustainable partnerships, and create opportunities that improve the lives of individuals and communities.

"As I step into this role, I am filled with gratitude and excitement for the opportunity to serve alongside the dedicated staff, board members, volunteers, supporters, and community partners who make this work possible," said David Jackson. "Today's Youth Matter has built a remarkable legacy of investing in young people and strengthening communities. I look forward to listening, learning, and working together to build upon that foundation as we continue creating opportunities for youth to thrive and reach their full potential."

As TYM looks toward the future, the ministry remains committed to its mission of empowering young people, strengthening families, and fostering lasting community impact. With a strong foundation, dedicated supporters, and a renewed vision for growth, TYM is well-positioned to expand its reach and deepen its impact in the years ahead.

Since 1991, and year-round in Richmond since 2018, TYM has invested in more than 200 children each year through summer camp, mentoring, and family-focused gatherings. With David's leadership, we're more excited than ever for what lies ahead as we collectively invest in young people helping them discover their God-given potential and pursue brighter futures. We appreciate your joining us in praying for our children and families as they engage in our summer camps and day-long adventures. And praying for David and the team as they join together in leading TYM in this new season.

We look forward to opportunities for you to meet David. Keep your eyes out for invitations to upcoming meet-and-greet gatherings. Thank you to our faithful champions...donors, volunteers, and ministry partners...for the many years of prayer, generosity, and presence that have carried TYM to this moment. Please join us in praying this prayer of gratitude.

"Heavenly Father, we praise you for ALL of Your provision. Thank you for leading us to connect with David as our new leader. We praise you, from whom ALL blessings flow. Amen."
