ELA or Emerging Leaders Academy, is not just a "group" or an "activity." It is a COMMUNITY where youth are in authentic relationships with high-quality adults of all ages and stages. Together, they play, eat, laugh, adventure, get real in conversation, and actually care for one another year-round.
TYM and Living Hope have been partners in serving youth and families for the past decade. This year, for the first time, we are joining forces to create a positive youth community like no other in Richmond. Wednesday nights from 6:30 pm - 8 pm is where young people want to be. Safe, fun snacks, positive adult leaders, Bible teaching, and quality conversations. This past year, this group grew because the youth in it created an amazing culture and began to invite their friends.
TYM has been serving kids and families with summer camps for over 30 years. We asked parents and kids how we can be a support outside of camp. Emerging Leaders Academy, or ELA, was born to come alongside families and provide additional positive adult role models and mentors for our middle and high-school students as they grow and mature into young adults.
