Give underserved children the opportunity to see themselves as God sees them. Help them experience the transformational journey. With your partnership, you can change the trajectory of a child’s life and walk alongside them on the journey.

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
2 Cor 9:7

The Lord is my Shepherd; I lack nothing.
Psalm 23:1

Appreciated Securities (stocks, mutual funds, bitcoin)

“By the time you sell the stock and pay the taxes, you’re losing 25% to 35% of the value,” says Kelly Elsensohn, a wealth advisor and certified public accountant (CPA) at WealthSource, a national wealth management firm.

Meanwhile, if you donate the stock directly to a charity, you pay no capital gains tax. You’ll get a tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock at the time of the transfer. (Source: Forbes)

Directly from IRA - Tax FREE!

Money from an individual retirement account (IRA) can be donated to charity. What’s more, if you've reached the age where you need to take required minimum distributions (RMDs) from your traditional IRAs, you can avoid paying taxes on the money by donating it to charity.

This tax break was made permanent in 2015.1 You just have to be sure to follow the rules carefully. (Source: Investopedia)

Schedule Your Gifts - Monthly, Quarterly, Annually

Scheduling your donation has advantages for the ministry and advantages for you. For you, the donor, it can mean making your giving decisions at the time of year most convenient for you, setting those gifts in motion knowing that they will be delivered at the time you appointed. Gifts can be scheduled to deliver via ACH (electronic) bank transfer, check using your bank's bill pay system, credit card or Donor Advised Fund distribution.

For TYM -- and all of the causes you care about -- there is an enormous advantage when donors schedule a recurring gift. The team of staff, board and advisers that construct the budget each year are able to add up all of the recurring gifts and see not only how much has been "promised" by dedicated donors, but also when those funds will be available. Monthly gifts are especially helpful by reducing the pressures and challenges that come from managing cash flow to meet regularly scheduled bills like staff salaries and subscription fees -- like this website you are on right now. :- )

When you choose to give online, you will be presented with options to schedule the amount and frequency of your gift, as well as how you'd like to make payment. Our team is available at any time to provide assistance.

Here's an article you may find helpful, "How monthly giving benefits both the donor and the cause".

Even those with variable income can schedule gifts. If you are a business owner or have income that is variable due to sales or business results, it is still possible to schedule your gifts, even on a monthly basis. Here's a quick example. If your desire or intent is to give $1,000 but you're not sure if your business will support that, consider scheduling a monthly gift that equals 85% of your intent. $850 divided by 12 is just under $72 per month. Then, at the end of your calendar or business year, if the period was as fruitful as you had planned, it is easy to make a one-time gift of $150 to "top up" and meet your intent -- OR, some lesser amount (all the way to zero) if the year was not as fruitful as you had hoped OR, some greater amount if the year was even more fruitful than planned.

Peer to Peer

Charitable organizations may host a peer-to-peer campaign -- for example, TYM's annual Walk-4-Their Future -- and the organization is not directly asking the community for donations. Instead, the supporters of the nonprofit are creating fundraiser pages and asking their social networks to support their personal fundraising goal resulting in support for the nonprofit. While a P2P campaign always aims to raise funds it ALSO raises awareness of the cause to a host of people that would likely not learn about it otherwise. This expansion of an organization's network is an important part of growth and sustained efforts over the long term.

At TYM, we focus our peer-2-peer efforts during the Spring season as well as calendar year-end. However, we can assist you in launching a personal page any time of the year, for instance in concert with a birthday or anniversary.

In Kind

An in kind donation refers to charitable contributions in the form of goods, services, time, and expertise, instead of cash. Learn more about this alternative form of giving and how it can help your nonprofit organization reach its goals. (Source: Araize)

Planned Giving

Planned Giving (sometimes called Gift Planning or Legacy Giving), enables philanthropic individuals to make larger gifts to charitable organizations than they could make from ordinary income.

Some planned gifts provide life-long income to the donor. Other gift plans use estate and tax planning to provide for charity and heirs in ways that maximize the gift and/or minimize its impact on the donor’s estate.

Thus, by definition, a planned gift is any major gift, made in lifetime or at death as part of a donor’s overall financial and/or estate planning. These include gifts of equity, life insurance, real estate, personal property, or cash. (Source: PlannedGiving.com  | Videos and education at GiftPlanning.org)

Company Match

A high-impact, easy to use employee benefit if your current employer or business offers a "corporate or company match". Most companies have a online or paper form, complete it, and submit it. Once processed and approved, the company makes a matching donation to the organization(s) of your choice. The form may ask for the nonprofit's Tax ID and address. TYM's is below for your convenience.

Events & House Parties

Our Walk-4-Their Future is in its 13th year and was initiated by a teenager who volunteered at camp. She wanted to come up with an event that people of all ages and abilities could participate in.

You may have an idea to connect one of your current passions to a cause to make an impact. That impact can be funds raised AND also awareness raised or BOTH. Micro-events -- sometimes called house parties -- can be for 4-12 people doing what you all already like to do -- golf, bocce, quilting, or making a meal together. The options are endless.

TYM's "classic" house party is focused on introducing others to the cause (and not raising funds) and it can be led 100% by you and we will provide resources and guidance. Your guests get to hear about why you support the cause. OR, we can provide for your micro-event a representative from TYM (staff, board, donor or volunteer) who will share a story or two and simply join your event as a participant.
